How leadership affect the success of a company
It goes without saying, that behind every successful company, there’s a good leadership structure piloting the affairs of the organisation. The Success of a company is based on many factors, but the most important factor is Leadership, because this factor can influence every other sector of the organisation. John Maxwell also affirmed this when he said “Successful company have one thing in common, they are led by visionary leaders who inspire and motivate their teams” (Maxwell, 2007)
Effect and damage caused by poor leadership is usually massive. It reduces motivation of employees, leads to lower productivity and eventually resulting into failure of the organisation. Negative leadership is usually short sighted, do not project into the future. (Shaw, 2014). What every company needs is a Visionary leader, who pilot the affair of the organisations, who doesn’t see him or herself as a Boss, but rather a leader, who go beyond the call of duty to ensure success of their team members. They take up responsibility for everyone’s failure, take calculated risk, and ensure every challenges is turned to an opportunities for growth of the company. Visionary leaders predict, plan and create a future for their company, and a consistent growth is always recorded.
An example of a visionary leader is Steve Jobs, the Found of Apple inc. whose market value just reached 3 trillion dollars. He his a futuristic leader, who motivates his employee towards continuous innovation and creativity. This has lead to the sustainable success of the company till date (Isaacson, 2013).
